Free BRB screens for OBS
For breaks. A full screen that tells viewers you’re away and coming back, in the same style as the rest of your stream, so a pause doesn’t look like the stream broke.
What you can change
- Your own message and the line under it
- An optional countdown, so viewers know how long you’ll be
- Your social links along the bottom
- Background, fonts, colors and atmosphere
In every style
One in each of the 14 styles, and each style has a whole matching set. Pick one to open it in the editor.
Add it to OBS in two steps
- 1Open one above and change anything: the words, colors, fonts and size. Add your name and channels once under Your stream and they fill in by themselves.
- 2Click Add to OBS and drag the button onto your OBS preview. OBS adds it as a browser source at the right size.
Not using OBS, or dragging doesn’t work? The setup guide covers adding it by hand.
Questions
- Can it show how long I’ll be gone?
- Yes. Turn on the countdown in the editor and set the minutes. It starts when the scene comes on, and you can add time from chat or the control panel.
- Can chat stay on screen during the break?
- Yes. Add your chat overlay to the same scene in OBS, on top of the BRB screen.
- Can I switch to it with a hotkey?
- OBS can do that: set a key for the scene in OBS’s Settings under Hotkeys.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. Every template is free to use and change, with no account, no watermark and nothing to install. Your settings live in the overlay’s own link.
- Does it work outside OBS?
- Yes. It’s a web page, so it works in any app with a browser source: Streamlabs Desktop, Meld, XSplit and others. Add a browser source with the link and the size the editor shows.
More pieces
Every piece comes in every style, so the whole stream can match.
